Dolly's Summer Day Camp offers an exciting, flexible and educational program for your four through eight year-old child. Our camp presents each child with a variety of daily activities, including daily swim classes, weekly field trips, computer play (we have 7 computers), nature hikes, arts and crafts, group and individual activities, special guests, music and just plain FUN! We are one of best summer programs anywhere. You may choose the weeks that you wish to send child AND the number of days each week.

Each summer we scheduled 26 great field trips, and 17 visitors for our campers! Our field trips are scheduled for the morning when the temperature is cooler. This also allows us to hold swimming classes in the afternoons when it is warmer! Please look over the attached calendar of trips. All campers attending on a field trip day must go on the trip. There are no staff left at camp. If there is a field trip on a day that your child is not scheduled to come and you would like to have your child come along, call us, if we have room he or she is welcome to come along. Note: Regular camp fees are charged for any extra days that your child attends.

All children participating on a field trip must wear a Dolly's Camp T-shirt or tank. The blue shirts help keep our children visible in groups. Extra T-shirts are available for $7.00 each.

We do invite parents to volunteer on most of our trips as long as there is room on the bus. A list of trips for volunteers will be sent to you before the start of camp. We will pay admission, transportation, and lunch (When applicable.) costs for volunteers. The Director reserves the right to cancel any field trip that, in his opinion, lacks sufficient supervision. We will all ride in a school bus for field trip transportation. Note: These buses do not have seat belts.

Please dress your child comfortably for the summer. We do a lot of water play. Pack your child's bathing suit and towel to camp in a bag or backpack. IMPORTANT! Please put your child's name on all items and apply sunscreen to your child prior to coming to camp. We ask that you send your child to camp in sneakers, water shoes are okay to change into for swimming or water play.
Note: Camp is a full day program and we do not have diapering facilities. All campers must be toilet trained.

SWIM CLASSES
Swim classes will be held daily for all campers (weather) permitting. Classes will be limited to up to nine campers. Swim classes are scheduled for 25 minutes. We will arrange classes by age and then ability. All swimmers must wear "bubble" flotation devices (we provide the bubbles) unless they can stand with their head above water or pass our swim test. A camper with open sores or cold symptoms will not be permitted to swim. Band-Aids are not permitted in the pool. All swimmers must wear a bathing suit. Shorts or cut-offs are not permitted in the pool. Our pool is heated. The average water temperature is 84 to 90 degrees.

TRAFFIC PATTERN
PLEASE TURN AROUND IN OUR DRIVEWAY AND PARK FACING TOWARD RTE. 228. Please pull as far forward as space permits when parking to drop off or pick up your child. We need to keep traffic to a minimum on our street. Please try to keep your time at camp to a minimum to allow enough parking for other parents.

Professional Staff

We divide the children into six groups according to age. Each group has up to eight campers and two counselors.

Our schedule of activities is finalized by the first week of February. You will notice that each day there is a different activity planned. Activities are scheduled each morning when it is cooler. Swim classes begin at 11:30 a.m. and continue throughout the afternoon (weather permitting). OUR POOL IS HEATED.

Our building is air conditioned to keep our campers cool even on the hottest days.

Our staff includes four certified teachers, a Red Cross certified Lifeguard, and 12 counselors and junior counselors who are all dedicated to caring for your child's needs.
